BALINT GROUP FOR COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE PROFESSIONALS
COHO PRACTICE GROUP FOR COLLABORATIVE PROFESSIONALS
Coho Practice Group is a local watering hole open to current and prospective Collaborative professionals. There is no fixed membership, and there are no prerequisites to join.
Often a guest joins us to guide us through topics chosen by the group, and the link below shows current and prior topics.
Meetings are the third Wednesday of the month, September through June, 12-1:30. Follow the link below for registration and more information.
Our work is complex, requiring technical skill in a dynamic setting with clients under significant stress. Balint groups build our empathy, by cultivating our imaginative comprehension of our clients' experiences. A Balint group provides a safe forum to bring together experience and meaning. As we deepen our empathy, we lessen the isolation that can lead to burnout.
There are two monthly Balint groups available for Collaborative professionals. One is based in King County, and co-lead by Collaborative Coach Tim Peterson and Joanna. The other is hosted through Collaborative Professionals of Washington, and co-lead by psychoanalyst Trevor Slocum and Joanna. If you are interested in learning more about Balint or joining a group, please contact Joanna.
